DETAILS
This grand scale, carved antique panel was once above a large doorway in the famous Jockey Club Building in Buenos Aires. It is hand carved and retains the original finish and patina. Today It can be used as a headboard, or as art simply hung on a large wall.
PROVENANCE
Jockey Club Building (Florida Street, Buenos Aires, Argentina, 1897-1953). Architect: Manuel Turner. Completed by Alejandro Christophersen and Emilio Agrelo. Sadly, this beautiful historic building was destroyed by fire by militant Peronist party members in 1953.
