DETAILS
An antique cheese toasting dish of oval form with a turned wood handle and hinged lid with beaded edge and engraved with a heraldry mark of a winged round shield. This unusual serving dish was designed to stand in front of the fireplace where the lid would be used as a reflector to melt the cheese.
