DETAILS
Proctor designed four grand sculptures of buffalo to decorate the pylons of the Dumbarton (Q-Street) Bridge in Washington, DC. This smaller posthumous, sculpture was cast in bronze using the traditional lost wax technique from the original 1912 plaster molds, under the direction of the artist's grandson Phimister Proctor (Sandy) Church.
