A large antique, beer tavern pitcher with a traditional blue Westerwald glaze with molded relief decoration and a pewter hinged lid. Westerwald stoneware is a distinctive blue-grey salt glazed pottery made in the Westerwald region of Germany since the beginning of the 15th century.
