An antique architectural hand colored plate on paper of the painted plaster and stucco ceiling of the interior of the library or Great Room at Kenwood House. Kenwood House (Hamstead Heath, London, England, built early 17th century) was remodelled by architect Robert Adam from 1764-79 for William Murray, 1st Earl of Mansfield. Now Kenwood is home to the 1st Earl of Iveagh's famed collection of Old Master and British paintings including works by Rembrandt and Vermeer.

Robert Adam (Scottish, 1728-92) | Engraver: Benedetto Pastorini (Italian, circa 1740-1806). Robert and James Adam (Scottish, 1732-94) were the sons of Scotland’s most famous architect William Adam (1689–1748) and built some of the most famous buildings in England including Kenwood House, Keddlestone Manor and Syon House.
