DETAILS
An antique, mid 16th century period full-length portrait of a young Charles Brandon (English, 1537/8-51), 3rd Duke of Suffolk at age 14. Charles Brandon was the fourth son of the 1st Duke, Charles Brandon (c. 1484-1545). Charles died tragically within hours of his older brother Henry Brandon, the 2nd Duke of Suffolk (1535-51), of sweating sickness. With no other heirs, the brothers deaths made their father's titles extinct.
