Swedish Gustavian Oland Limestone Top Mahogany Commode

DETAILS
This fairly low, three-drawer antique chest of drawers features a very unusual, thick, stone top; a drab finish in tones of subdued grays and browns known as Oland limestone. Oland limestone is a Swedish stone used for more than one thousand years. Each drawer sports stamped brass, round escutcheons and ring pulls. The piece terminates on rather short, legs with brass sabots. It is a simple, but refined piece and would work well in any room in the home.
