DETAILS
A scarce antique Southern parquetry tiger maple chest of drawers with overhanging top with chamfered corners. Fitted with two short over three long graduated drawers, each with original oval brasses. Barber pole inlay. The shaped apron with checkerboard and semi-cicular fan inlay. Note the wide plank top, sides and back. On original splayed French feet. Secondary wood: poplar.

Note: the top drawer was originally a long drawer, now modified into (2) short drawers. The top handles have been moved to the center of each short drawer.
