From Dalarna, this folk art, Swedish, country cupboard has an arched cornice over the single door cupboard, opening to a painted interior with one shelf. It retains the old finish, painted in tones of green, cream and brown, with traditional, folk art, kurbits patterns (Allmoge). With hand forged lock and key. The style of ornamentation was very popular between 1720 and 1870, particularly in the areas of Dalarna and southern Norrland in Sweden.
