George William Adams for Chawner & Company (London, England, registered 1840-83). Chawner was considered the top maker of Victorian silver flatware. George William Adams, a respected silversmith joined his mother-in-law's firm in 1840.

Hallmarked: GA (maker's mark), lion passant (standard mark), leopard's head (London), C (date letter), sovereign's head (duty mark). British design registration diamond mark for June 13, 1878.
