Intricately inlaid with ivory, this antique, dresser frame was made in easel form to be used atop a dressing table. The rectangular frame sits on a shaped and pierced base with tall, stylized cabriole legs and a decorative apron. Note: it exhibits the fine craftsmanship of Hoshiarpur, an important center for the making of ivory-inlaid furniture for export to other areas of India and to the West.
