DETAILS
An antique Rococo period chest of drawers, with serpentine (arbalete) double crossbow front and recessed cartouche panels surrounding the brass handles and escutcheons. The dresser supports a conforming variegated grey and white marble top with three long drawers and raised on short cabriole legs. Commodes en arbalete were made only by very skilled cabinetmakers as it is difficult to carve this serpentine shape from one piece of wood.
