Robustly hand carved, with a deep, scrolling, foliate pattern with pierced details, this lovely, small antique frame houses a later mirror. The organic nature of the carving is typical of this early period. It displays a deep brown color; a nice accent on any wall. It is also a most usable size and a good balance between a dressy and provincial look.
