DETAILS
Found in Rhode island, this antique, 19th century hand carved white marble sculpture of a lady is an allegorical symbol of hope. She stands with one arm raised and holds a scroll and an anchor symbolizing hope. Statues of hope were popular during the Victorian era especially following the dedication of the Statue of Liberty in 1886.
