After Francois Boucher (French, 1703–70), rendered in the style of the period, on hand woven canvas, this antique painting displays a bucolic harvest scene of a lovely, young woman with a large basket of fresh fruit, playfully teasing a young boy. Executed predominantly in tones of blue with pink and white accents, it also features a city in the background. Now in a later frame, it will make a dramatic statement on any large wall. Possibly was a panel from a trumeau.
Marked (on reverse): Damar 1994 indicating a varnish application.
