DETAILS
An antique seascape painting of a ship caught in a violent storm at sea. Lyman was the captain of the Geo V. Jordan three-masted schooner, originally built in 1874 in New York. The schooner sank off the Pollock Rip shoals, in Massachusetts. The ship wreck was removed in 1906.
