DETAILS
An antique, Edwardian period, garden sundial pedestal of baluster form with stopped fluting on a round foot and square plinth. The round green patinated, bronze sundial plate is engraved with a compass star encircled by roman numerals and a removal gnomon. The outer ring is marked with the Latin motto: Festina Lente (Latin: Make Haste but Slowly). The pedestal base is crafted in two parts and should be secured together with mortar after final placement.
