French Louis XVI Cherrywood Buffet a Deux Corps

DETAILS
Beautifully fashioned, with an arched top, this antique cupboard features extensive carving. The body is surrounded by a laurel leaf border; a motif echoed in incised borders around the doors. Notice the floral carving at the top, on the drawers and on the bottom doors; the upper doors having small scroll designs in the corners of each panel. The scalloped base features shell carving and the piece sits on escargot feet.
