This small, hand crafted, antique, 18th century, Indian vyala figure was made as an architectural bracket in India. It depicts a mythological crouching leonine gargoyle creature, wearing a beaded collar, with his mouth fiercely agape and displaying much of an old red paint. He sits on a decorative base. This piece lends itself to many creative uses inside and outside the home.
