A large, antique, Berlin type woolwork embroidery panel with a religious scene of Moses in the Bulrushes which shows the finding of Moses by the Pharaoh's daughter. It is also known by the titles: The Finding of Moses, or Moses Saved from the Waters. It was a popular art subject matter. The Egyptian princess and her attendants are seated and standing by a river around the baby Moses. Classical buildings appear in the distance with a sphinx garden statue is on a pedestal by the princess to reference Egypt.
