An antique English silk and linen pictorial sampler embroidered with a house on a hill flanked by row of trees. Flowers and animals decorate the front lawn. Embroidered with lines from the New England Primer by English Reformation martyr John Rogers (c. 1505-55) and from the Universal Prayer poem by Alexander Pope (British, 1688-1744).
