Pair of American Quezal Art Nouveau White and Gold Lily Glass Lamp Shades

DETAILS
Each antique Quezal shade with an opalescent calcite exterior with gold iridescent interior. It is unusual because of the lack of pulled feather design, and translucent quality of the glass.
MAKER
Quezal Art Glass and Decorating Company (New York, 1902-24)

Quezal was founded in Queens, New York under the creative direction of Martin Bach, Sr. and Thomas Johnson who were both former employees of Tiffany. They produced glass in the Art Nouveau style comparable in quality and beauty with the work of Tiffany and Frederick Carder of Steuben.
