Number: E9-908 and signed in syllabics. Sticker: Canadian Eskimo Art. The first letter and number indicates the region and the last four numbers identify the artist. This Eskimo Identification Number system began in the 1941 and the practice was abolished in the early 1980s. The Arctic was divided into twelve districts West (Wl - W3) and East (E1 - E9).
