Lester E. Varian (American, 1881-1967). Varian studied at the Pratt Institute of Architecture in New York before establishing the architecture firm of Varian and Varian with his father in Denver, Colorado. He is known for images of Colorado cities and mining towns and was part of the WPA Federal Arts Project.
