An antique, 18th century, natural history art, illustration of (33) cowrie sea shells arranged in six rows. Menabuoni and Pazzi created 110 plates after specimens from Dr. Niccolò Gualtieri’s (Italian, 1688-1744) natural history collection. Gualtieri's original shell collection is housed at the Museo di Storia Naturale (Pisa, Italy).
