French Empire Style Iron Yellow Painted Toleware Monteith

DETAILS
A vintage or antique oval monteith with crenellated rim and loop handles. It is decorated with a woman in a chariot pulled by two horses. The opposite side is decorated with opposing floral cornucopias. A monteith was traditionally used to cool wine glasses but it can also used as a planter or cachepot.
