DETAILS
Each antique, architectural statue is modeled in tan terracotta, as life size Lansquenet military guards in Renaissance dress.
The Lansquenets were the German militia infantry from the 15th-17th centuries. Calandrelli contributed to many decorations of German public buildings, including the terracotta reliefs for the town hall in Berlin.
