From a local Denver estate, this vintage, Native American low, polished round, blackware pottery bowl was made by Maria Poveka. Maria crafted these plain, undecorated pottery pieces during the period from around 1956 to 1965 and signed them by her San Ildefonso name Maria Poveka. She and her family are well known by collectors for their fine southwest artwork and crafts pieces from the San Ildefonso Pueblo in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
