This antique, miniature, framed round enamel is a copy after Jean-Jacques Henner's (French, 1829-1905) most famous painting of Saint Fabiola, who was a 4th century noblewoman who nursed the sick in Rome. Henner painted the original painting in 1885 which is now lost. It shows a head and shoulders profile portrait of a beautiful lady wearing a red veil.
