This early antique hand carved decorative carving was salvaged from a building. It depicts a bird of paradise with its head turned in profile toward its dramatic tail feathers. Now mounted as a decorative sculpture, on a custom, iron stand, it displays an aged, well-worn patina of years of exposure. It is a great example of folk art carving.
