Large French Louis XIII Walnut Chateau Theobon Diamond Point Armoire

With an old blackened patina, this period antique French walnut (noyer) wardrobe, displays three, deeply carved and geometric stylized diamond point (pointes de diamanté) panels on each of the doors, over a long base drawer and flattened bun feet. Notice, also, the wonderfully moulded, deep cornice and the lovely steel hinges. This is a magnificent early piece and a great example of the genre. In three parts with cornice, case and one drawer base.
